Who Might We See In Super Smash Bros. Brawl? [Update 1]
[Update 1] I decided that due to the popularity of this article that I’ll update it with more characters! Read on to see all the ones I added.
With so little news this weekend (before the GDC storm next week) I figured I write out a feature article, similar to the recent top 5 video game accessories article. With not much but smash on my mind, what better to do than to take a look at who we may be able to look forward to in Brawl. Who knows, we might even get a new trailer this week so we can put my predictions to the test! Read on!
Let’s start with 3rd party characters then head onto first party.
We already know Snake is in, and Sakurai has said that there will be more third party characters, although not many. I believe he has said it would be around 3 more.
Sonic
Why he would be good: Let’s face is, the possibility of Sonic v.s. Mario fights is too good to pass up. He has a great variety of moves he has used over his line of games. Is one of the most well-known non-Nintendo characters.
Why he wouldn’t be good: Following his games, Sonic is supposed to be fast… very fast. His moves would generally be very fast which might make him hard to control or program, and probably have to be moderated down to a level closer to other characters which might seem odd. Another debate would be which version of Sonic to include. There is the more recent (pictured here) from 3D games, whom has more varied attacks, and the classic style which may have less attacks (from those games), but is clearly the Sonic we all know and love.
My comments: I’m almost worried that Sonic is such an obvious choice that he won’t make it. It seems Sakurai likes to use characters no one would expect, but would end up loving like Ice Climbers or Pit. Who would think of Mr. Game and Watch!?
Knuckles
Why he would be good: Knuckles would be a great character to accompany Sonic similar to Marth/Roy, Fox/Falco, and others. Similar to the differences of Mario and Wario, Knuckles is like Sonic but more bad-ass, a tough fighter, though lacks in Sonic’s trademark skill of speed. Would work nice as an air fighter with gliding similar to Meta Knight and Pit.
Why he wouldn’t be good: Some of Knuckles most trademarked abilities are digging and climbing, and those wouldn’t translate well to smash at all. I can’t imagine digging being used at all as almost every level utilizes thin platforms, and climbing walls would be… well… for getting back, extremely cheap.
My comments: If Sonic comes to Brawl, chances of a sidekick is almost certain. While I would prefer Knuckles over anyone else, Tails is more popular. Even though Tails would probably work as a better air fighter fitting in the new theme with Meta Knight and Pit, Knuckles is just geared toward fighting more, and hopefully Sakurai will notice that.
Tails
Why he would be good: In pretty much every game except for the first Sonic, where you see Sonic, you see Tails. He is the downright true sidekick to Sonic, and would fit perfect with him. His flying skills are awesome as hell, and would be perfect.
Why he wouldn’t be good: Let’s face it, Tails is a weakling. We’re talking weak attacks from a character always seen as the peaceful one. However, who expected Peach or Zelda to be good fighters?
My comments: Pretty much everything I have to say about Tails is what I have to say about Knuckles. I believe Knuckles would fit better, but Tails might be in instead of him due to him being around longer and being Sonic’s sidekick. Perhaps they could do a Sonic/Tails like Ice Climbers.
Mega Man
Why he would be good: First of all, when you think of popular classic characters, Mega Man instantly comes to mind. He has been fairly faithful to Nintendo in the past, with such an exceptional showing on the NES. He is absolutely filled with attacks, so making a move set wouldn’t be hard at all.
Why he wouldn’t be good: Just about every one of Mega Man’s weapons is gun based, and he already know Sakurai doesn’t like the idea of guns after announcing that Snake will be bomb based instead of guns.
My Comments: Even though Mega Man is pretty gun based, I can’t help but think back to Marvel v.s. Capcom and how great he was in a 2D fighter. His guns where barely used, with attacks like the mega ball coming into play instead.
Bomberman
Why he would be good: Sakurai said that Snake will be focusing on using a lot of bombs, so what character would be better to counteract him than Bomberman? This guy is a bomb specialist with all sorts of techniques like giant bombs, bomb kick, and a whole lotta’ other bomb moves.
Why he wouldn’t be good: Where Snake has a lot to fall back on besides bombs, Bomberman has nothing else. He is bombs. That’s it. His attacks might be a little too repetitive and might leave programmers wondering what to fill in the rest of his moves with.
My Comments: Not much else to say besides what I did in the why he wouldn’t be good. In the way of third party characters, the space would be used better by Mega Man or Sonic.
King Dedede
Why he would be good: He’s like Kirby, but slower, no copy ability, but much stronger. He has the perfect attributes to be the Kirby partner like Marth/Roy and Fox/Falco.
Why he wouldn’t be good: I don’t know THAT much about Dedede and I wouldn’t know what moves they would use in place of Kirby’s rock and sword, as Dedede obviously doesn’t have them.
My comments: I almost always ruled the idea of King Dedede being in Brawl after the first trailer when we learned Meta Knight was in. I thought that after already adding Meta Knight that they wouldn’t want to flood the game with Kirby characters and the space would be better used for someone else. However, Dedede is practically made for smash and is almost too good to pass up. This might be the last smash Sakurai will make, and since he is the creator of the Kirby franchise, he will probably want a strong showing from it.
Diddy Kong
Why he would be good: Before we knew a single character in Brawl, there were two I was expecting to be in: Wario and Diddy Kong. Two characters very close to Nintendo which weren’t in Melee for some reason. Well we have one of them, so bring on Diddy Kong! Think Donkey Kong, but faster, weaker, and with some more agile moves. We need more characters from the DK franchise, and Diddy is easily the best choice.
Why he wouldn’t be good: Diddy might end up being too similar to DK, and a lot of people tend to think that the clones weren’t the best idea for Melee, but different ideas could definitely be made for Diddy.
My comments: As I said up there, we need more DK characters, and I can’t see anyone else going in before Diddy. We haven’t actually gotten confirmation for Donkey Kong yet, so who knows, perhaps they are planning a Donkey Diddy combo a la Donkey Kong Country similar to the Ice Climbers. It would be too perfect, and eliminate the possibility of another clone. The only thing that makes me wonder about this is that Miyamoto wasn’t too big a fan of Donkey Kong Country, and with working in Brawl, he might not want to see too much of a DKC influence.
Ridley
Why he would be good: We need more Metroid characters, and I believe Sakurai has said the same. I doubt the hunters would be added as they are quite new and haven’t really shown themselves too much yet, and Ridley provides classic Metroid dating back to the NES days.
Why he wouldn’t be good: I included this picture of Ridley for a reason instead of a nice one. Look at him, he’s like 300 times the size of Samus! How are we supposed to have a giant freicken dragon in Brawl?? However, this is only one version of Ridley, and he has appeared much smaller, almost to the size of Samus as seen in the Melee opening movie.
My comments: Even though Ridley has been defeated by Samus on multiple accounts, he seems like one of those characters that’s just too strong to have in Brawl, however he could be changed quite a bit. Let’s face it, if they can remaster Ice Climbers and Pit into 3D with tons of attacks, they could change Ridley. I personally think Ridley would act better as a level boss like Giga Bowser, and for those who MUST play him, get an Action Replay.
Geno
Why he would be good: Geno’s a puppet practically just made for fighting. He has good physical power and amazing special abilities seen in Super Mario RPG. How awesome would it be to see the Geno Flash as a super smash ability!?
Why he wouldn’t be good: There really isn’t much to say of why Geno wouldn’t be good. However, if he is made of wood, wouldn’t he just be done if Bowser got a hold of him? I doubt the game would be that specific though.
My Comments: Is Geno a first party a third party character? If he is 3rd party, we would have to worry ab out him taking up another spot in the limited amount allowed in, but he might be able to have an exception made for. It might fall under the same idea as Banjo/Conker in Diddy Kong Racing. It was a Nintendo game filled with primarily Nintendo characters, but those two ended up being owned by Rare, where Geno might be owned by Square. Atleast Square and Nintendo are on good terms.
Krystal
Why she would be good: She would provide a new Starfox character. She is shown here using a staff, which could provide a new space animal with a different fighting style than Fox and Falco. Other than that, I don’t really know much about the character as the only game I’ve played with her is Starfox Command, in which all she did was fight in a ship.
Why she wouldn’t be good: Krystal seems to be the most requested Starfox character to be added, but is still quite recent. Sakurai might stay true to the earlier entries to the franchise, and include someone like Slippy or Peppy.
My Comments: As I said I don’t really know much about Krystal, so I don’t have much to comment. I just hope that Falco isn’t taken out, and is instead modified to be less like Fox. If they need a good clone replacement, Wolf would work great, but I would like to see one of the classic characters like Slippy come in and make a trio with Fox and Falco.
Balloon Fighter
Why he would be good: If I’m not mistaken, he was originally supposed to be in Melee and was included in a beta version of the game, so if they already had ideas for him, then why not use them in Brawl? Some evidence of his possible appearance in Melee comes from an alternate level music for Icicle Mountain, which is originally from Balloon Fight. Sakurai has said he liked how he brought the classic characters into Smash and remastered them, and Balloon Fighter sorta fits along in the mix.
Why he wouldn’t be good: I never played Balloon Fight, so I don’t know much about him, but while looking at him, I can’t imagine such a varied moveset. Would he run around and jump then pull out balloons for a double jump thing, or how else could it work?
My Comments: While the NES remakes are a great idea, I think this one stretches the idea a bit, however if they could make it work, then by all means go for it!
Wind Waker Link
Why he would be good: Young Link and Link is one of the least liked clones from Melee which probably means Young Link will get the cut… kind of. What if instead of cutting Young Link, they changed him to the Link from Wind Waker and gave him a new moveset with items from Wind Waker like the grappling hook? It holds a lot of potential and would keep Young Link alive in smash. Let’s also forget the character isn’t gone yet with the upcoming release of Phantom Hourglass.
Why he wouldn’t be good. The extreme cell shaded style might contrast quite a bit with the rest of the characters, however lets remember that Game and Watch was completely 2D and somehow still fit in good.
My Comments: Would they call him Cell Link, Wind Waker Link, or keep in Young Link? While something along the lines of cell or Wind Waker Link aren’t proper, he technically is a kid, which would make Young Link fit well.
Bowser Jr.
Why he would be good: We don’t have any kind of partner for Bowser, so who would be better than Bowser Jr.? Bowser Jr. is a relatively new character which could give a new feeling touch to the smash franchise. Bowser Jr. could make use of a good moveset of part Bowser, and part elusive paint brush attacks we saw from Super Mario Sunshine. Who knows, maybe we could see a transformation to Shadow Mario…
Why he wouldn’t be good: Ever get that feeling that we’re taking a bit too many characters from the Mario franchise? It may not be the best idea to completely flood the game with them, and I doubt anyone will be completely devastated if Bowser Jr. doesn’t make it.
My Comments: Even though the Shadow Mario transformation is a cool idea, I don’t think it should be used just to avoid such a similar Mario counterpart, however the Kirby transformation of Shadow Mario would probably look ultimate extreme kick ass.
Waluigi
Why he would be good: There really isn’t any character in smash like him. Most of the characters are either huge and slow and small and speedy, but none really fall into Waluigi’s area. Waluigi would make a bigger character, but not necessarily that slow (but not godly fast like Falcon). He doesn’t really have many moves as he’s generally only participated in parties and sporting events, so some comical moves could be created.
Why he would be bad: Once again, it’s another Mario character that we could do without like Bowser Jr. Even though moves could be created, we don’t really have much of a basis unless you wanted to give him things like a tennis racket from Mario Tennis, a soccer ball from Strikers, and from Mario Party… dice?
My Comments: Waluigi would have done nice for a Wario counterpart, but now that we know the Wario in Brawl is based off of the Wario Ware Wario (good choice BTW to help separate him from the enormous list of Mario characters), Waluigi isn’t from that line of games.
Various Pokemon
Who could possibly be in the roster: There are way too many Pokemon to think of all of them (almost 500), and we have two new generations to work with in Brawl than Melee. Generally only the really popular pokemon make it into Smash games, which pretty much rule out pokemon like a Mankey or something. There are also plenty of pokemon practically ineligible because they are too powerful like Blastoise or Entei, and ones that don’t work on land like a Luvdisc. With this in mind, the ones we would most likely see would probably be Raichu, Munchlax, Lucario, and Blaziken.
My Comments: I would absolutely love it if they took out Pichu and replaced him with Raichu. The idea of a Pikachu clone somehow worked out well, but Raichu is a better suited fighter than Pichu. I think Pichu made the cut instead for Melee was because he was more popular at the time due to being a fairly recent pokemon. Besides that, I think Munchlax would be the best choice as he would probably provide the most diverse fighter.
Well that about wraps it up… I think that’s enough Brawl speculation for one post. Certainly there are more characters that are good possibilities, but I think I wrote more than enough. As an extra note to characters I’ve heard others want to see but I didn’t know enough at all to make an entire entry on, some people seem to want Jeff from Earthbound (Don’t know which Earthbound, as I haven’t played any of them. Just look for him in the trophies in Melee). Whether it’s Jeff or not though, expect some character from Earthbound as we haven’t had a new one since the original, and Sakurai did work on Mother 3 (Mother is Earthbound in Japan).

By the way, you probably know that Nintendo Power has been running a piece called Smash Files for quite a while now. It’s a one page feature describing a character from Brawl and this past issue contained part 9, which featured Fox. We currently only know 9 characters in Brawl, with Fox being the most recent, so whether we get a new trailer or information next week at GDC, there’s a good shot we will find out a new character if Nintendo Power runs a 10th Smash Files in next month’s issue.

Captain Olimar
Why he would be good: This would be one fun character to be. Olimar would most likely be small and floaty, and one of his attacks could be like Peach’s turnip, where he could pull out a random Pikmin out of the ground. He has the possibilities of familiar attacks, mixing it up with an all new character.
Why he wouldn’t be good: Captain Olimar is supposed to be really really small, so if they kept his size, it wouldn’t be good. However size adjustments have already been made in past Smash games, so there’s no reason one couldn’t be done for him to make him larger.
My Comments: I have to admit that I have never played a Pikmin game, but even for everyone who hasn’t, they probably know who Captain Olimar is. He’s familiar enough to everyone so he would fit well, and it’s a possibility of adding a whole new franchise.
Peppy Hare
Why he would be good: He would provide an alternate Star Fox character besides Krystal, and would appease the classic Star Fox fans. If Nintendo is smart they could have his taunt be him saying “do a barrel roll!” and he would instantly be loved by all users.
Why he wouldn’t be good: Peppy barely fights in the Star Fox game so making him fight might be sort of odd.
My Comments: Peppy could be an interesting character. Since he isn’t much into fighting, he could be a space animal character (following the formula of Fox and Falco having high speed and such), and be a very physical fighter. Besides that, the taunt possibility makes him potentially one of the coolest characters ever.
Zant
Why he would be good: We need to find new characters for Brawl, so why not a character that’s not even 6 months old? New characters from each franchise would be nice, so instead of revamping Ganondorf, how about try one of the new villains, Zant? Zant introduce himself in Twilight Princess and proved that he has what it takes to be part of Brawl. Thankfully Zant is so unlike any other fighter that he would pretty much have a completely original moveset so he wouldn’t be any kind of clone.
Why he wouldn’t be good: While new characters are great, Zant is VERY new. While millions have played Twilight Princess by now, not everyone has, so it may pay off to use characters that people are more familiar with. Then again, no one knew Marth and Roy at first.
My Comments: If Zant doesn’t make it, he would make for a great boss like Giga Bowser. One of my ideas for Brawl is that each character could have a different end boss (some may have the same, like Link and Zelda) and if you know what the last Zant boss was like in Twilight Princess… then you get my idea. I won’t spoil it for you, but for those who have played it, you know that would be beyond awesome in Brawl.
Paper Mario
Why he would be good: Paper Mario is big right now, real big. Not only did he have two great RPGs in the past, with Super Paper Mario coming out in less than a month, he’s on everyone’s mind. He’s an alternate Mario that can be used instead of Doctor Mario, and would have a very different moveset using weapons such as his hammer.
Why he wouldn’t be good: We have the Mario already, and we were already treated to a 2D character in Melee, so do we really need Paper Mario? Sure he would be great, but would we have to keep him alone? The franchise has tons of great characters, such as Paper Peach, Paper Bowser, the X-Nauts, and more, but we don’t want to overflood Brawl with a whole bunch of paper.
My Comments: The Paper Mario line of games is one of my most favorite, so I would love to see Paper Mario in Brawl. He’s your classic Mario, but completely different so there’s no chance of a Mario/Paper Mario clone. Plus, if we had Paper Mario, how cool would Paper Bowser be as an end boss?
End Bosses
You probably have heard me talk about end bosses a bit through this article, and please note this is nothing that is confirmed. The concept of end bosses is simply one of my ideas. At the end of adventure mode in Melee, the big last boss was always Giga Bowser, but why should wefight Giga Bowser even as characters like Game and Watch? In a new adventure mode (or classic), I think it would be awesome if each character had a special boss they had to fight at the end. These bosses would be a bit over the top, like Giga Bowser, and would not be playable. After you fight all of them, it would be cool as an unlockable to be able to fight the end bosses as any character. Also who knows, there could be a 2 vs 1 mode where two players team up against one person playing as an end boss. Here are some ideas of end bosses, without the whole write up.

dont worry THEbig, I read every single comment that comes on this site, and if you look up, I have replied sometimes.
As for what games Jack Skellington has been in, he has been in one game, which was released for Xbox, PS2, and GBA (I think they were different titles and games though, but released around the same time). That doesn’t sound like a lot of Nintendo love there. I’m almost sure that Sakurai would not choose someone mainly from a movie, and while I think he would be interested in a fighting game, he’s just not fit for this one. If someone ever makes a Super Disney Bros. game, then by all means he better be in it.
As for Chaos 0, the chances are slim to nill, but when I think about it, that would be awesome as hell. The main problem is that he’s been in two games, not even too much in sonic adventure dx, and only in multiplayer in sa2b. the spot is better used for tails or knuckles, and I really don’t see them putting in more than one sonic character. lets just hope its tails/knux and not shadow.

Jack Skellington deservs nintendo love and after they know about this stuff peopel has been saying I AM SURE they would add him. Thos 500 people look up to me to get Jack Skellington addded to ssbb. I really wouldnt want to let them down. Sakuria should add him I have seen alot of people wanting Jack. even memebers I dont know want him. You shouldd buy Jack skellington games and he is in kingdom hearts.
I would truley bet alot of money Jack Skellington would make SSBB even MORE populer. You gotta trust me. I read what people have been saying about him and its all good. come on I’ve already commented about Skellington, and the topics starting to get kinda old. He has very little Nintendo support, and theyre not going to put him in to create Nintendo support. He’s not popular enough amongst people, especially if they haven’t seen the movie. We know theres a limited amount of third party character space, so why waste a spot when it could go to someone like Mega Man or Bomberman? All of this pretty much shows how he won’t be in Brawl, and there’s no question about it. This doesn’t mean he wouldn’t be a great fighter though, which is why I said if they made a fighting game like Smash Brothers but with other characters from companies like Disney, he should be part of the main lineup. Perhaps Square and Disney could collaborate together for a fighting game like they did with Kingdom Hearts.

OMFG, please tell me if Ridley’s in SSBB! I mean, come on. They could make Mewtwo in the melee, and no one complained about him! And if they could make Mewtwo in the last one–no duh, you could put Ridley and/or Meta Ridley in the game and make him playable! They just gotta change his freakin’ size. If you know for sure if he is a playable character, please tell me. Without Ridley, this game would not be as fun!

OH I remember I was reading some site and I saw some person who wrote a comment about the game, he said he bartered a prototype in China for around 500 bucks (which truthfully even though this games gonna rock is a little insane). He also added there were about 72 characters, but I’m not sure if he’s telling the truth. If he is though I imagine Sakurai really has scraped the bottom of the barrel. Just imagine. . . . . . . . . . . . . Just saying!

i agree with your opinion about the character picks. Jack Skellington would be a good character, but he doesn’t quite fit in with the others. I personally think that it would kind of ruin the game for me, but it would bring in a new crowd. the creators will definitely put it waluigi but if they put too many mario characters, then it’ll bounce back on them. I want the game to be enjoyable and not overloaded with a whole bunch of unneeded and third party characters. it will ruin the franchise. Sonic is a good character for the game, but so many games have come out with him i’m kind of sick of the little blue guy. It’s not to say that i don’t want to see it, but rather i wouldn’t want to play it. Characters i would want to see are:
-capt. olimar
-paper mario(replace dr. mario)
-skull kid from majora’s mask
-Zant
-Raichu(replace Pichu
-Meowth
-Diddy Kong(I bet they will have him for the DK franchise)
-Wind Waker Link(replace Young Link OR make Young Link like New Link)
-FIERCE DIETY LINK(My most requested. would be a great secret character)

I heard it should come out on Dec. 31. I don’t know the exact date it just says December, but since there’s no actual date it may be pushed back. I hope not.
Anyway, I see a lot of Jack Skellington on this page. I would like to say……………………….shut up. Give it a rest. I mean he’s on 1 or 2 games for Nintendo, one of which is a very small part for GBA. (Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories) He’s only only less than popular for Nintendo. I agree, his moves may be very original, but think of all of those Nintendo fans who might be disappointed that they spent all of that time looking for HIM. I respect your fight for him, but it’s not gonna happen. But, hell, Snake got in because a Nintendo worker begged, if you get a lot of followers there may be a chance.

Ok so do you think it is likely, or unlikely they would put sonic in brawl. I mean it would be pretty cool but I’m not sure if SEGA would just hand sonic over. Although he has had a few games released on the gamecube (yet those games are usually for another system as well). My friend says there is no way.

Yeah 1-2 more third party characters, that means that they had to be on a Nintendo game. I agree Jack is on one, but if I remember correctly it wasn’t very popular. Chances for Jack, if there is any chance, are very slim. As for PS2 characters like Sora, Cloud, and Sephiroth are out. Crash’s chance on SSBB is small too. Considering the fact that Microsoft bought it from Nintendo. Out of the recent character requests, I think that Ridley has the best chances since he’s been on Nintendo for many years. I really hope he’s in it.

Hey I think I have designed a pretty good way of classifying characters by skills.
Follow the instructions if interested in knowing how.
First I have three stats:
Strength
Defence
Speed
And you can grade each subject with 3 answers
1
2
3
3 is good,2 is average/ok, and 1 is bad
now I will pick out a person to grade,
uh young link let’s say,
Strengh:2
Defence:1
Speed:3
Now admit it I love young link but he does no have the best defence,
but that doesn’t matter what I was going to tell you was that if you add up the numbers they are six. That was my point, most of the characters average around six or seven points. I want to say again average.
Now let us do Marth,
Strength:2
Speed:2
Defence:2
Now let’s say Marth doesn’t have any phenominal qualities, but he is very balanced and an overall good character.
Now let’s see what happens when we change Marth to Roy.
Strength:a low 3
Defence:2
Speed: a high 1
Roy was alot like Marth but he traded just a smidge of speed for more devastating attacks. NOTICE: you can add high or low in some numbers cause Roy isn’t dreadfully slow, just slower then average.
Some characters like ganondorf,
Strength:3
Defence:3
Speed:1
Have a total of seven points. Some characters have 7 total quality points. There might even be one with 8 (I really am not sure on this).
Overall I think this is a good method.
Try it yourself, experiment with it, or maybe improve it. Please comment either for your praise or suggestions.
note: I thought of doing a 0 for some things but then I decided someone might get really mad at me for calling bowser lardfully slow. So no 0 if you do not want people to get mad about their favorite person.

Yeah that is a pretty good idea, and then it would be easier to classify certain characters as good average or not as good as could be.

Strength: 2
Defence: 1
Speed: 3
Smash: 3
Total score: 9
Whoah that made a difference.
And it makes more since because the total score will be like a 1 to 10 scale.

Not to make the scoring difficult, but you should have the special moves scored into it.
For example, Luigi’s special up move is weak because it goes straight up, it doesn’t help, while Fox’s goes a long distance and does a fair amount of damage.

Yeah I don’t want to do that because their strengths in that attack are usually near equal to their overall strength. Because I think Luigi’s isn’t terribly weak but DEFINITELY not very strong, just like Luigi’s usual strength. And Fox has considerable strength so that is the same with his special move. I don’t know if this is true or not, but I heard that it’s coming out in december . . . in Japan. So it’s likely that it will be released . . . a few months later (weeps sullenly). Yeah but just a rumor. I would sue nintendo of America if the game didn’t come out a couple months after Japan. And if that rumor is true, and it would be in 2008, I would be so !#$%!@% mad!

OMG terrible news! Theres is a rumor that everyones least favorite fairy (unless your from Japan) might get into brawl. TINGLE! That would suck so bad. I can think of about a thousand better characters than TINGLE! How on earth do the Japanese guys like him so much. I was so glad the cut him from twighlight princess but now THIS? If he does make it in, it’d be a waste of a character file.

Oh my friend found this flash game on the internet, it’s called super smash flash. It’s sort a fan made game. It’s not as cool as the actual ssb ssbm and DEFINITELY not as cool as ssbb is gonna be. But if your bored of some of da characters on da other games, they put on sonic, who rocks, tails, who sucks, knuckles, who is okay, and someone named blade, god knows who. Just today I unlocked super sonic, Krono, and lloyd on it. I also hear you can unlock cloud by beating 100 man melee but I haven’t succeded.

well that pokemon WAS in ssbm at first but it look like the programer took it out. in fact if you use an action replay you can go in the debug menu to make it appears out of a pokeball but it freeze the disc sometimes….

first off being new here is argee on ridley being in the game. all they have to do is shrink ridley to the size when he was in the ssbm intro. He one character i’ve been begging for and he’s from the metorid series. I also like him for this:
-he can fly
-he can shoot plasma breaths and fireballs
-samus can finally have someone to relate too in smash bros

blast of fire that corrupts nearly the whole stage

I know, if Ridley doesn’t make the cut, who else in metroid is appearing in nearly every game (that would be worth playing). The chances are one in a couple thousand gazillion that they would take characters from metroid corruption, (which would be good if that game had already been released)

Uh yeah there’s not much new, I did find this one site that was a little dissapointing, but it was from IGN which is more or less cheats than info. If you want to see it I gave the internet address in one of my earlier posts. Either ways banana peels have been confirmed as an item. I think you were around for it but zelda has been confirmed, and well that’s about it. Man I wish Nintendo would slip us some intresting info, like a character that wasn’t in any of the previous games that they havn’t told us about.
